Emo at Revelry, Pompano Beach

Do you remember the days when your first love broke your heart and sent your life spiraling into emotional chaos? Well, My Drive Home sure does, and they’re here to take you on a nostalgic journey through the highs and lows of love with their 15-year anniversary record.

Originating as a group of guys hailing from four different countries, My Drive Home was founded in 2009 as an Indie band in the vibrant South Florida music scene. United by a singular passion – playing Emo Music – the band quickly gained popularity across popular rock venues and underground spots in the region, becoming a staple in the local music landscape.

As they gear up to celebrate their 15-year milestone, My Drive Home is preparing to embark on a tour in 2024, bringing their unique blend of emotion-infused tunes to fans old and new. The upcoming anniversary record promises to transport you back to the days of heartbreak and shattered illusions of love, all while embracing the ‘life goes on’ mantra that accompanies navigating the tumultuous waters of your 30s.

Imagine rocking out to loud, passionate melodies that capture the essence of your first love leaving you for someone else. My Drive Home invites you to scream passionate tunes that make you wanna scream because you remember that Jessica, that bitch, left you for Brad, who was always better looking than you.. So you know deep down, you deserved it, but it still feels bad when you remember that it happened. and it did happen.

To celebrate their journey and connect with fans, My Drive Home is set to perform live at Revelry in Pompano Beach on Saturday, February 17th.

Joining them on stage will be the talented band “Gone In Bloom,” featuring local artists Sara Taubenkimel, Ben Perman, Chris Kay, and Bobby Soto.

Beginning as a solo project of singer-songwriter Chris Kay, Gone In Bloom has grown into a dynamic pop punk quartet that knows how to hit you right in the feels.  With driving riffs and twinkling refrains, Gone In Bloom aren’t just a direct flight to the Midwest, they’re a Time Machine to the early 00s, conjuring your fondest memories of Vagrant Records, Equal Vision, and Deep Elm bands past.  The band’s current lineup features scene veterans from Sleepbox and Fero Lux, pulling from a wide array of influences to craft a polished, powerful sound.  Nostalgic yet new.  Poppy yet poignant.  Gone in Bloom delivers that sound you’ve been missing.  It’s a night you won’t want to miss – a celebration of love, loss, and the enduring power of passion

So mark your calendars, gather your friends, and get ready to immerse yourself in the cathartic world of My Drive Home and Gone in Bloom.

Let the live music carry you back to the days of heartbreak, and join the band as they navigate the bittersweet landscape of love, all while rocking out to the tunes that echo the sentiments of your own unforgettable past.
