Pianist and arranger Scott Bradlee started the collective in a basement, filming friends reinventing modern hits as vintage jazz, swing, doo-wop, Motown, and New Orleans blues. Billions of views later, PMJ has become a full-blown touring institution with a rotating cast of world-class vocalists, horn players, and tap dancers — a live show that feels like a time machine with a great sound system.
The Future Is Vintage World Tour: What to Expect
Expect a rotating lineup of singers who each get their moment. Expect brass, upright bass, and a lot of sequins. Expect at least three songs you know by heart that you will not recognize for the first eight bars.
And expect the crowd to dress for it. The venue is encouraging fans to come in their vintage best — think swing-era suits, flapper fringe, cat-eye liner, victory rolls, wingtips. You do not have to. But you will wish you did when you see the room.

Here’s the part that makes this night different from every other show on the calendar.
Two hours before the music starts, the lot at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater turns into a cruise-in car show — chrome, candy paint, and a whole lot of vintage metal parked against a South Florida sunset. It is, frankly, the most on-theme pre-show anyone could have booked for a band whose entire identity is the future is vintage.
Admission to the car show is free and open to concertgoers. Come early, walk the rows, take the photos, and be in your seat before 8.
What Is a Cruise-In, and Why Should You Get There Early?
A cruise-in is the relaxed cousin of a judged car show. No entry classes to stress over, no trophies table to hover around — owners roll in, pop the hood, and hang out. It’s built for wandering.
Getting there at 6:00 PM buys you three things: the best parking, the cars at golden hour, and enough breathing room to actually talk to the owners before the gates open at 7:00
Pompano Beach Amphitheater Rules to Know Before You Go
Save yourself a trip back to the car:
- Bags: Backpacks larger than 8.5″ x 11″ are prohibited. Smaller bags and clear bags are fine but get inspected.
- Outside food and drink: Not allowed, with one exception — one unopened bottle of water per person, or an empty refillable clear plastic bottle.
- Alcohol: Purchased on-site only, 21+ with valid ID.
- Re-entry: Not permitted except in emergencies.
- Prohibited: Weapons, umbrellas, strollers, drones, laser pointers, totems, inflatables, professional and video cameras.
- Smoking and vaping: Not permitted in seating areas or restrooms; designated areas only.
- Accessibility: ADA seating, ramps, and viewing areas are available; service animals are welcome, leashed and under control.
The Amp seats roughly 3,000 across Orchestra, Reserved, and a general-admission — there isn’t a genuinely bad seat, but the lawn is the casual, spread-out-and-enjoy-it option.

What to Order Before the Show
Eat something that holds up for four hours on your feet. Our picks for a concert night:
- The Mayor — the burger to order if you’re only ordering one thing.
- Prime Rib French Dip — rich, fast, and it does not require a fork-and-knife commitment.
- Jalapeño Popper Deviled Eggs and Pickle Me Softly — split a couple of small plates if you’re eating light before the show.
- Resident Vegan — plant-based and genuinely good, not an afterthought.

Getting to the Pompano Beach Amphitheater
Parking at The Amp
Parking at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater is free and on-site, which is a rare and beautiful thing in South Florida. Lots typically open about two hours before showtime — right around when the car show kicks off at 6:00 PM.
ADA parking is available near the entrance on a first-come, first-served basis, with accessible paths to the Orchestra and Reserved sections.
Walkability: What’s Actually Walkable Around Pompano Beach Amphitheater
Let’s be straight with you, because a lot of concert blogs aren’t.
The Amp is not in a walkable restaurant district. It sits inside Pompano Community Park on NE 6th Street, surrounded by ballfields and residential streets. There is no strip of bars and restaurants you can stroll to from the gates. Plan to drive, rideshare, or eat before you arrive.
Downtown Pompano Beach, where Revelry is, is the walkable part. Along Federal Highway and Atlantic Boulevard you’ve got restaurants, bars, and shops in an actual pedestrian grid. If you’re staying at a hotel near the beach, you can walk to dinner and drinks easily — you just want wheels for the roughly two-mile hop over to Revelry and the Amp.
Rough numbers so you can plan: Revelry to the Amp is about 2 miles. That’s a 3-minute drive, a 12-minute bike ride, or a 25 minute walk. It’s a walk that’s technically possible and practically a good or bad idea in October depending on weather while wearing your vintage best.
Rideshare and Drop-Off
Uber and Lyft run reliably in Pompano Beach, and a Revelry-to-Amp ride is a short, cheap one. If your group is drinking at the pre-show and returning for the after party, leaving the car parked at Revelry and rideshare-ing both directions is the smart play — especially since re-entry isn’t permitted at the Amp, so you’re committing to one trip in and one trip out anyway.

Post-show is when the cocktail list earns its keep.
